The Il Shim group consists of seven senior Tang Soo Do practitioners, each holding a rank of 6th degree black belt or higher. These individuals have been personally selected by Senior Grandmaster Ki Yun Yi to lead the ongoing growth and development of European I.M.A Tang Soo Do. Their mission is to preserve and promote the traditional values of Tang Soo Do while adapting the art to the modern world.
The term "Il Shim" (一心), though difficult to fully define in a single sentence, can be loosely translated as "One Heart." It signifies unity of mind and spirit, a core principle that guides both personal practice and the community as a whole.
Grandmaster Ki Yun Yi's Favorite Quote:
“The secret is: meet good people, train hard, eat good food, and stay at peace! Tang Soo.”
