Master Foster joined the Tang Soo Do family as a new years resolution back in January of 1998. She started training as she had always been interested in martial arts having trained in Judo as a child. She wanted to find something that involved self defense and spectacular kicking techniques so naturally Tang Soo Do was just what she was looking for. She was introduced to the art by her friend Master Wallace and hasn't looked back since. Tang Soo Do is as much a part of her life as her husband and children are. It's not just something she does it's something she lives and loves.
Instructed by Master McMannus before he moved to Ireland then by Master Maynard. Having achieved her 1st Dan she was trained under the instruction of Master Nar to her current rank of Master Belt. She is 1 of the first 2 women in Europe in The International Martial Arts Association to achieve this. She has gained many medals competing over the years including being part of several winning European demonstration teams and has won several European and World Grand Champion titles. Tang Soo Do allows individuals to excel in their own areas of strength. Master Foster is known for her speed and flexibility. She may be small but don't be fooled "The bigger they are the harder they fall" is her response when she asked about going up against bigger opponents. Tang Soo Do is for everyone regardless of size or age. |
