Master Campbell started his Tang Soo Do Journey very late in life (age 54) after seeing an advert by Master Nar in the local paper. Master Nar was instructing at Wootton Village Hall and he was, and still is, European tang Soo Do Association Chief Instructor. The training was hard but fortunately I have trained hard all my life, and this helped. Master Campbell is a qualified PE teacher, he taught PE for 33 years , a qualified basketball and Rugby instructor and has also qualified as a personal fitness instructor. After attaining his Black belt in 2005 he came under the tutelage of Master Andy Young due to Master Nar moving to Ireland to further spread the art of Tang Soo Do. Master Young assisted me in attaining my 4th dan Master belt in 2017. Master Campbell has been instructing at Wilstead Tang Soo Do in Bedford for 15 years where many students have attained the black belt status and indeed some have also furthered there training and become instructors themselves. Master Campbell focuses the emphasis on teaching/learning in a relaxed fun environment where the club has proved popular with children and parents. Master Campbell also states that some of the parents have become students themselves. As well as the Tang Soo Do principles I like to install the mindset of never giving up, of acknowledging fear but never giving into it.
Master Campbell was in the army special forces so expect a tough, disciplined class.
