Biography
Grandmaster S, Nar began his Tang Soo Do training at the age of 13. He was not naturally gifted at conventional sports so had to work extra hard in his Tang Soo Do training. Due to his dedication and perseverance, things began to change for him and through his efforts he became a successful competitor and coach.
Grandmaster S, Nar has received many commendations from some of Tang Soo Do's most senior exponents, but his most cherished award was being selected as the IMA's instructor of the year in 2001, which was presented to him by his Instructor Dae Kwan Jang Nim Ki Yun Yi. He started the Great Britain (Yong Kook) Tang Soo Do Association with one club in Croydon South London in 1987. The organisation is now amongst the leading associations in the south east of England. He has hosted quite a few world IMA Tang Soo Do world championships aswell as European championships.
He has personally trained hundreds of black belts and many world championship winning teams.
He has been the cover star of several martial arts magazines including the UK's Tae Kwon Do and Korean Martial Arts, Irelands "Irish fighter"
Back in 2007 Grandmaster S, Nar relocated to Ireland where he continues to expand the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do. He has already hosted a European championship and the IMA's world TSD championships in June 2010. He has been training for over 35 genuine years and attributes his success to having a team of good honest Tang Soo Do practitioners who share the same vision of how traditional martial arts should be taught in a modern society.
